pstorage-config-files − overview of Parallels Storage local config files
This page describes Parallels Storage configuration files layout. All roles are covered: MDS, CS, client. There could be defined several clusters per host, several MDSes and CSes per cluster per host. There are global settings and per−cluster settings. Cluster settings are addressed with cluster name.
Location
The location config stores three numbers separated by
periods, which specify host location as room, row, rack. It
is used for proper allocation of chunk replicas within
large−scale clusters. For example, a policy to always
have chunk replicas in different racks can be imposed. See
pstorage−failure−domain(1) for more
details.
MDS and CS
settings
MDS and CS have common parameters that are used to start
them up. There are several predefined environment variables
that can be used in the configuration file:
